Gemma Mahadeo is a Melbourne-based writer and occasional musician who came to Australia in 1987, and has lived in England and the Philippines. Their work has been published in print and online both locally and overseas, and they have appeared at the Emerging Writers’ Festival, Freeplay Independent Games Festival, and the inaugural Future Echoes Festival. They currently edit reviews for the Melbourne Spoken Word website, and recently became poetry editor for Concrete Queers zine.
