Verity Crane

18 May 2020 6:30 PM

Verity Crane is an Artist, community arts coordinator and a Union leader at the schools VCA/MCM. Their creative practice ranges from tapestry works to representative painting, exploring the role of playfulness and humour within art spaces. They have been involved in projects that focus on expanding this environment beyond gallery walls. Working with community arts organisations—kids own publishing, Artplay and Slow Art Collective—their projects are designed to inspire children, young people and “tall children” alike.

Verity loves game making and storytelling and believes that many of the best organisers, union leaders, and activists do their most effective and inspiring work in the world of play—where the ability to imagine utopias and better worlds is key in realising a more equitable future.
